Are there any requirements or prerequisites to becoming a student at the school?
For most classes, no prerequisite other than an interest in the arts is needed! For our more advanced classes there may be some prerequisites. Please contact us for more information.

What kinds of qualifications do your instructors have?
All of our instructors are professional, working artists, and most have post-secondary training. Our faculty strives to provide high-quality, hands-on experiences in the arts, and they aim to foster a love of the arts. Check out our faculty page for instructor profiles.

Would I be able to obtain contact information for an instructor?
For privacy reasons, we cannot give out instructors' personal telephone numbers, postal information or email addresses. To contact any of the instructors, please send a message to instructors [at] avenueroadartsschool [dot] com with the name of the instructor in the subject line and we will be glad to forward your message to the appropriate person.

When are the holiday dates?

Should I register my teen for an adult or kids' program?
If your child is up to fourteen years old, they can register in a kids' program. Teens aged fifteen and up may register in adult courses.

What do you mean by "integrated arts programs"?
At the Avenue Road Arts School, our Toddler Arts and Kinder Arts streams are integrated arts programs, which means the activities include visual arts, drama and music.

Do I have to wait with my child before a class starts?
If your child is under 8 years of age, they will not be permitted to wait alone before their class begins. We do, however, offer before-class care for a minimal extra cost. View details here.

Is there after-class supervision for my child?
Unfortunately, we do not offer after-class care. We do, however, offer before-class care for a minimal extra cost.
