Many contemporary paintings take their inspiration from an impression or emotion. If you want to explore a more spontaneous approach to painting, then this virtual class is perfect for you. With a modern take on painting, learn how to interpret and translate contemporary imagery into a work that speaks to both you and others. Painting with acrylics and working from photo reference, (or concept, if you wish) techniques and approaches will be demonstrated and practised. Plenty of individual attention and group critique will be provided. You will learn problem-solving techniques for painting issues that arise through the study of composition, perspective, fore/mid/background, colour mixing, contrast, and sense of depth. This online class is best for students who have some previous painting experience.
