Known for her uplifting illustrations, picture books, editorial art and illustrations of various cultures and stories related to travel and history, Farida Zaman leads this course, Digital iPad Drawing & Painting. Over the span of 4 weeks, Farida will introduce students to the basics and principles of digital art through the iPad application ProCreate. Using photographic references  along with guided visuals and prompts, Farida will lead students in creating their own visual narrative in conjunction with photographic and traditional analogue methodologies in creating unique characters, capturing places and objects.

Using principles of art and design along with the touch screen drawing tablet, students will be able to create magical and creative pieces while gaining experience in the effects of the technology in emulating drawing and painterly qualities through digital art. The sessions will include sketching and drawing principles, drawing patterns and textures through understanding mark making techniques with the application and how to create dynamic and engaging compositions bursting with life and energy! 

Prerequisites to this workshop: 
This course is best suited to those with drawing experience.
