VISUAL STORYTELLING (GRADES 3-6)
A story is so much more than words; stories are libraries that get passed on for generations to remember a time, place, a person’s life, a legacy, an adventure. Artists throughout history have used many tools to share narratives; from cave paintings, verbal storytelling, mythologies to novels, depicting a tale can take shape in many forms. While referencing books, graphic novels, paintings and more, students will investigate their own personal story in this short course through a variety of media. Students will explore artistic fundamentals that can enhance their sense of visual storytelling while tapping into creative concepts through unique projects. Led by Farida Zaman, an illustrator and author, students will be under excellent guidance, learning through group demonstrations and projects along with one on one tuition. Come join us in sharing your story!
