Toronto, June 11th, 2007: 460 Degrees of The Avenue Road Arts School, an art show of adult student work, will be held on Tuesday June 19th, and Wednesday June 20th, 2007.
The show will feature drawings, portraits, figure paintings, landscapes, abstracts, watercolours and ceramic pieces from many of the accomplished students at the school.
“This show is going to be spectacular,” said Lola Rasminsky, Founding Director of The Avenue Road Arts School. “People will not believe the quality of the work when they see it. Some of our students started with us as rank amateurs and are now working at a professional level.”
The opening reception for 460 Degrees of The Avenue Road Arts School will be held on Tuesday June 19th, from 6pm to 8pm, at The Women’s Art Association Gallery, 23 Prince Arthur Avenue, in Toronto. There will be an additional showing on Wednesday June 20th, 2007, from 5pm to 8pm.
“Many of our adult students have fascinating backgrounds, completely unrelated to art,” said Liana Del Mastro Vicente, Director of The Avenue Road Arts School. “Some are professionals, or are “boomers” returning to a long-lost love of art, or, there are other students who’ve never tried art and have always wanted to. They are thrilled to be re-discovering that spark and to be nurturing their creative spirit.”
