march break cancelled amidst COVID-19 concerns
To Avenue Road Arts School Students,
Like so many other arts organizations, we have been monitoring the current COVID-19 situation. We had planned to run our March Break program next week (March 16-20) and had put several stringent protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of our students. As of this evening, the ROM, the AGO and other respected organizations have suspended all of their programs on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Ontario. We feel that with this level of concern about the spread of the virus, we do not want to take any chances and have decided to cancel all our March Break programming for next week. All registered students will receive an email and a phone call from a staff member of the Arts School with more information.
We were so looking forward to all the creative exploration. But we are living in unusual and unsettling times and we really hope this will be over soon so we can get back to our normal lives. We are truly sorry that our students will need to find alternative care for March Break. We hope that you all take good care of yourselves and stay healthy.
