Classical Painting Techniques: Replicating the Masters
This seven-week virtual course with Alanna Peters brings those secrets to life, focusing on the hands-on techniques you can use in your own work. We’ll move beyond just theory, exploring how to prepare a canvas, mix colours from a historical palette, and use glazes to create incredible depth and light. Through detailed demonstrations and guided practice, you’ll learn to construct a painting with the structure and control that defined centuries of art. This course is less about perfect replication and more about understanding why these techniques work, so you can adapt them to your own artistic style. You’ll leave with a richer appreciation for art history and a powerful new set of skills for your painter’s toolkit.
