Colourful Creators studio invites students in Grades 1–5 to take their doodles and transform them into graphic, design-oriented paintings. We begin with the magic of the preliminary sketch, focusing on the “bones” of a great drawing, before learning how to translate those ideas into a colourful, bold painting. Students will explore how to use thick outlines, “pop-art” palettes, and intentional design choices to make their imaginations feel real. Led by Lucee Maclean, artist and graphic designer, students will be guided in turning simple illustrations into complex paintings, empowering young artists to trust their imagination and build the technical skills needed to share their inner worlds with everyone.
