Gouache Immersion: Media, Form and Colour
Join Andrew Judd in this intensive workshop dedicated to a hands-on exploration of the versatile gouache medium. Over two sessions, students will be guided through a systematic sequence of demonstrations and focused painting exercises. From analyzing material properties, constructing a working palette, and immediately exploring form and light through structured still-life subjects and value studies. The emphasis shifts to then refining your visual vocabulary and gestural brushwork. We will revisit advanced colour relationships, develop a finished composition from initial sketches, and refine the handling of edges to achieve a truly painterly approach. With personalized feedback integrated throughout both days, this workshop is structured to strengthen your technical control and foster the spontaneity essential to the medium.
