Meditative Art Practice: Mindfulness with Drawing & Painting

This six-week virtual experience, led by Farida Zaman, invites you to move beyond representational drawing and define a deeper, more intentional relationship with your materials. You will explore the inherent qualities of rhythm, pattern, line, and texture, using spontaneous or repetitive gestures as a powerful form of meditation, while inherently building your confidence in drawing and painting. The course is designed to encourage a non-judgemental approach, shifting your focus from the final product to the journey of the mark itself. Through guided exercises, you will build a rich visual vocabulary by experimenting with diverse tools and techniques, allowing your creative energy to flow freely. This is an opportunity to develop both visual approach and inner stillness.
