An art experience can be customized to your needs and vision! Below you will find a few more creative and inspiring ideas for your artistic experience
Become a bird, a lion, or any magical creature from your imagination! Using a simple paper plate, pastels and tempera paint, partygoers create a mask. The project is completed with the addition of foamy shapes, jewels, feathers and decorative papers.
Children transform a simple tube into a space shuttle using pastels, tempera paint, foamy shapes and metallic papers. Kids form their alien out of model magic and bring it to life using markers and googily eyes.
Make a wish and get ready to create your wand! Children decorate a piece of bristol board with markers, foamy shapes, feathers and pieces of decorative papers. The final touch is added when children take a piece of model magic and decorate it with markers and jewels.
Andy Warhol was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as POP ART. Check out his Campbell’s Soup Can Painting. Pop art is famously known for taking imagery from pop culture currently in use in advertising and using it to create a more artistic rendering of the object. You will briefly explore some examples of pop art and then choose your own pop-culture image to render into your own masterpiece using basic drawing and painting principles. Replication is not the goal here. Reinterpretation of the object and releasing your inner creativity are the goals. No previous drawing or painting experience is required. All we ask is that you be ready to laugh while keeping an open mind and a willingness to trust your instincts.
Work towards a collective goal while expressing yourself individually through drawing and painting workshops. Whether it is fundamentals in drawing and painting or series of exercises that facilitate spontaneity, creativity and team building, these artistic experiences promote connecting with others through the arts for all skill levels.
Design your very own wings! Children will decorate a pre-cut set of wings with oil pastels and tempera paint. They will then embellish their creation with coloured papers, jewels and metallic markers.
Learn about the power of colour, shape, symbolism and composition while creating your own flag or family crest! Using oil pastels, permanent markers and tempera paints, students can transform a piece of fabric and/or paper into a meaningful and symbolic representation reflective of them and their imagination.
Through cutting, tearing and gluing, students will find meaning and express visual dynamism in found printed material. Introducing students to printing techniques, stencilling and assembling images together students will create unique compositions through printed media and text that tells a narrative.
