Campers will experiment with painting, collage, sculpture, and playful materials like fabric and recycled objects to create expressive self-portraits and abstract interpretations. They’ll also learn how different cultures and times used portraits—like masks, drawings, and sculptures—to tell stories about people. It’s a hands-on adventure in creativity that brings portraits to life in fun and unexpected ways!

Dive into the art of storytelling through portraiture in Creative Faces: Portraits in Mixed Media! This camp challenges young artists to explore how we portray people—not just through faces, but through colours, textures, and symbolic imagery. Campers will experiment with diverse techniques like painting, collage, and sculpture while working with unconventional materials such as fabric, recycled objects, and embellishments. They’ll also delve into how portraits have been captured historically and culturally—from ancient masks to modern abstract works—gaining inspiration from around the world. By blending traditional and contemporary approaches, participants will create bold, thought-provoking pieces that reflect their unique artistic voice.
