Toronto’s Next Generation Artists: Nuit Blanche Camp
Ages 12 - 18
Experience an unforgettable summer at our immersive art camp, where young artists will explore the creative possibilities of lens-based art and photography to be displayed at Nuit Blanche 2025! This is a unique opportunity for students to develop their artistic voice, experiment with innovative photographic techniques, and ultimately showcase their work as part of a globally renowned exhibition event. From the first spark of inspiration to the excitement of seeing their art on display for Nuit Blanche, campers will embark on a journey of creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.
Guiding this experience is professional artist and educator Jennifer Chin, whose passion and expertise have been central to ARAS’s creative community. With a rich background in lens-based art, drawing, painting, and mixed media, Jennifer inspires students of all ages through her engaging teaching style and passion for the arts. Under her expert mentorship, campers ages 12-18 will experiment with and learn to employ the fundamentals of image making to share their perspective and ideas about the world around them—both in the studio and on field trips. Through Jennifer’s supportive approach, creativity and self expression will be fostered, ensuring every student feels empowered to capture and share their unique artistic vision through a body of work, coming into full shape through a group exhibition. This will provide young artists on an all encompassing journey in art conceptualization, art making, handling, and exhibiting!
