About this course
This five-week art lab is an adventure in creativity where anything is possible! Each week offers a new project designed to explore how different materials can tell a story together. Students will explore how to use thick outlines, “pop-art” palettes, and intentional design choices to make their imaginations feel real. Led by Lucee Maclean, artist and graphic designer, students will be guided through the art of illustration, painting and mixed media in empowering young artists to trust their imagination and build the technical skills needed to share their inner worlds with everyone.
What your child will learn
- Define and apply various mixed media techniques, including drawing, painting and mixed media.
- Explore how different materials and textures can be combined in artwork.
- Cultivate an understanding of colour and composition in a mixed media context.
- Develop a personal visual vocabulary through experimentation with diverse media.
- Construct imaginative artworks, translating ideas into tangible mixed media creations.
