Intuitive Abstraction: 2-Day Painting Workshop
Discover the power of abstraction and intuitive mark-making. In this expressive 2-day painting workshop, you’ll move beyond realism to explore bold compositions, emotional resonance, and the freedom of painting from feeling rather than form.
This course invites you to lean into your artistic intuition and break free from traditional constraints in this transformative painting course. Designed to nurture confidence and self-expression, students will explore bold abstraction, gestural mark-making, and dynamic compositions that capture the essence of a subject rather than its literal form.
Through an experimental approach, you’ll learn techniques and strategies to see your subject matter in a new way, translating it onto canvas through a unique, intuitive lens. By harnessing abstraction, you’ll move beyond representation, using colour, contrast, movement, and composition to evoke emotion and energy in your work.
Guided by an experimental, process-driven ethos, you’ll learn to experiment through a fresh lens, capturing essence rather than literal form. Through structured exercises and open-ended exploration, you’ll explore the power of colour, contrast, and composition to evoke emotion and energy in your work.
