Sculptural Creations: Clay, Paper and Plasticine (Grades 1-8)

Sculptural Creations is a fun and hands-on six-week course designed to introduce young artists to the world of sculptural art. Meeting once a week under the expert guidance of artist and sculptural specialist Melanie Billark, students will explore the exciting possibilities of working with air-drying clay and plasticine. This in-person class will immerse students in the creative process of transforming their artistic visions into three-dimensional art work.
Throughout the course, students will learn essential sculptural techniques, from designing and shaping to forming and embellishing their creations with colour and mixed media. Projects will range from 3-dimensional paintings to anatomical imaginative creatures, allowing young artists to experiment with various forms and styles. Using a range of tools and technical skills, students will bring their ideas to life, developing their creativity and artistic confidence along the way.
