Painting the Autumn Scene en Plein Air
Join acclaimed plein air artist and educator, Sam Paonessa, in a one-day workshop at Evergreen Brickworks. Designed for painters with intermediate to advanced skills, this workshop invites those with a penchant for outdoor painting to delve into their craft, accommodating various paint mediums.
Under the guidance of Sam Paonessa, participants will start the day with an inspiring demonstration, offering a unique blend of motivation and expert advice to refine your plein air painting techniques. The autumn colours and scenic landscape of the Brickworks offer an array of natural subjects. Throughout the workshop, Sam will provide personalized support and collective guidance, enhancing your technique and artistic perspective with hands-on demonstrations and tailored advice.
The workshop includes a break for lunch, allowing time to relax and immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of the gardens. As the day draws to a close, participants will have the opportunity to present their creations, receiving constructive feedback in a supportive environment. This workshop provides an opportunity to connect with the splendour of nature, enhance your skills, and join a community of like-minded artists under the mentorship of a master plein air painter amidst the inspiring autumn landscape.
Please note, artists are required to be able to carry their plein air materials and be aware that there is some walking and stairs to our painting location. A wheeled cart or wagon may be useful.
